Our Pastor

Pastor David L. Cooper

Pastor Cooper was born in Knoxville, Tennessee and moved as a child with his family to Georgia. He received Christ as Lord and Savior on May 9, 1971. One year after being saved, God called him to the ministry.

Understanding the call to preach was also a call to prepare. He attended the Tabernacle Baptist Bible College in Greenville, South Carolina. While in school at Tabernacle, he worked for Evangelist Oliver B. Green at the Gospel Hour.

Pastor Cooper also attended Immanuel Baptist Bible College and Antioch Baptist Bible College in Atlanta, Georgia. He holds a Master’s Degree in Religious Education and a Doctorate of Ministry.

He served several years as vice president of a mission board, and is the Academic Dean of a Bible College and also the Moderator of the Independent Baptist Fellowship of Georgia.

He recently celebrated 30 years as the pastor of Bible Baptist Church. He and his wife, Judith, have three adult children, eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
